About Us/History

In the fall of 2002, we bit into our first Honeycrisp apple...WOW! We were hooked.  The following spring, we began planting Honeycrisp apple trees on our 22 acre family farm.

In 2005, we began selling our apples to local grocery stores and farmers' markets. The response to our quality was phenominal!

We are commited to providing our customers with the best locally produced apples & goodies available in the Westby, Viroqua, Sparta, Tomah and LaCrosse, Wisconsin area!

Our season starts around the end of August and continues until the beginning of November. In late August we start with big, beautiful Zestar! and Gingergold apples. We offer the best locally grown early apples - see our "Harvest Schedule."

We pack extra fancy, and combination grade apples in a variety of packages, including: boxed trays, 5, 10 and 20 pound poly bags (all at very reasonable prices). We also offer different sizes/shapes of pumpkins. We have two coolers which allow us to continue to pack apples through early November.

Our entire family participates in the operation at the various stages of picking, grading, and packing of our produce. You may also see one of our younger children behind the register...please remember to count your change

In 2010, we opened our newly built Farm Store where we feature the only Apple Cider Donuts for miles around,  freshly baked pies (made to order), turnovers, hand-dipped caramel apples, and Bloomin' Apple Desserts.  Our Country Farm Store is open daily with lots of unique gifts to choose from.  We would love to hear from you to assist you with your retail or wholesale needs.

Every year we add something new...stop in to see "what's up?" at Maple Ridge Orchard! Our goal is to give you a great-tasting, eco-friendly apple at a tremendous value.  We hope you have fun while you are here too!
